Gretsch's new 'Hall Of Fame' guitar

I pre-purchased one of the 'Hall of Fame' guitars back in early Nov. I was told that they had 2 coming; one in Dec and 1 in Jan. As of now; still no guitar. I have tried to go to the Gretsch page to at least pull up a Pic of it and I can't find
it anywhere. Do any of you have a pic of the guitar that you could send me or post it here so I can copy it?

It's been a long wait and I would sure like to see it again. lol

Hi John,
I ordered mine July 30. I received an email from my dealer about a week and a half ago. He said they expect them to be in within the next 3 weeks. Here's a photo of Fred Gretsch holding one:

It's a limited edition guitar, with only 70-72 being produced I'm told, so it may never appear on the website or catalog. Fred Gretsch told me he hopes to put one on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame when this batch arrives.

GAS is a terrible affliction for which there is no known cure (if you are poor, married etc.).. Seeing these pictures is just tormenting those of us with the sickness!! :) However, this really has nothing to do with Chet, but guitars and Chet go hand in hand!!

Yeah Ron,,,I think we've all got that "sickness". I had absolutely NO intention of buying one of these new HOF CGs, but they are so beautiful, temptation got ahold of me - - couldn't stand it, had to have one. Some of you will remember me talking about this last fall, when I bought the last one that Broadway Sound had in stock (from that first batch of 16 guitars) What's so interesting about this guitar is that mine seems to play better than my NC, and my NC plays really well. (I guess that's my imagination) I can remember Paul telling me when he was talking to Joe Carducci about designing this guitar, "When you see it, you'll have to have it" - - LOL - - he was right, dontchaknow !

I have vaguely been looking for a 6120 Duane Eddy model with Dynasonic pickups, but luckily they seem to be few and far between.

John A,
I just received this reply from Gretsch:

Hi Chuck,

The HOF guitars have indeed arrived, passed or QC inspection, and are now scheduled to ship by the end of this week.

So they are at the Gretsch distribution warehouse in Arizona. Our dealers should be seeing them next week!

Vidar, I found this Duane Eddy at a Guitar Center while I was searching for something else. I hate to tempt you, :D , but I am posting the link and info to the store below in case you decide you have to have it.

I don't think that is the new Duane Eddy Model. The new DE is vastly improved. Dead giveaway - the bridge is a SS Tru Arc on the new Models.
