anyone on the Chetboard know this guitarist?

Has anyone in and around the Nashville area know or have heard of a guitarist named: JOHN R. SMARR?---I own a guitar with his name stenciled on the case, and would like to know the history of this guitar---what I have found so far is that he was Patsy Clines guitar player in her movie 'Sweet Dreams' which was released in 1985--he also recorded with a blues singer called Rufus Thomas in 1980 at a Nashville Studio--he also recorded with Terry McMillan, Chets Harmonica player and percussionist---If he is still with us, I would like to locate him and speak to him about owning this guitar--If anyone can give me some info, I would much appreciate it--Bob 612-599-6444 cell

Rande--called John R Smarr today and talked for about 45 minutes--he is the guy I was looking for and remembers the guitar I own that he owned back in 1980--it was given to him by the Peavey rep Hollis Calvert who was supplying their band, Dr Hook, with Peavey equipment--quite a story, and a very nice guy--will try and get over to his house next CAAS in 2012--appreciate your input!--thanks a bunch!-

John R. Smarr is my favorite actor and i have a little bit information of John R. Smarr but its not much for me. I want to more about him.

well I used to own one of his Peavey guitars--but unfortunately he has passed away I believe on June 15th this year--when I was at CAAS this year I traded the guitar in to Broadway Sound for some other equipment--they had the guitar last I heard--but I do have other info about him if you want to contact me at my email
