Epiphone Country Deluxe and Gretsch 6120-1959 LTV Weight?

Hi everyone,I haven't posted in a while,had to re-register.I own the Epiphone Country Deluxe and I'm thinking of switching to the Gretsch 6120-1959 LTV.The main reason is obviously the sound.The Epi has a maple block thru the center of the guitar.It makes it more "Electric" sounding.The other reason is that that maple block makes it the heaviest guitar I've handled.I know that there is also a difference in the nut width and scale but,I'm willing to accept
those.Problem is that I just read that the Gretsch trestle bracing also adds weight to the 6120.The Epi is 9.6 lbs
Three back/neck surgeries make weight an issue.The Gretsch site does not show the weight.So....any 6120-1959 LTV owners willing to "weigh" my problem ?

Hi,I'm answering my own post.I pulled the trigger for the G6120-1959 LTV.I found out that it is about 2 lbs.lighter
then the Epiphone Country deluxe.I guess that's enough of an excuse for any guitar player to get "just one more".
I'll post a review in a couple weeks...............Happy camper.

Augie, don´t worry. Your´re just suffering from a condition called GAS - Guitar Acquisition Syndrom. It´s a quite normal condition. It´s also known as the GreTsch Acquisition Syndrom.
