The Chetboard

I'm considering buying 1 of these for my son - its a
reasonably priced nylon string cutaway guitar with a thinner
than usual nut width (48mm i think).
I have A FENDER acoustasonic amp. for playing it through.
Do any Chetboarders own one & if so - what do they think.

I recently bought a NTX700. My understanding is the difference between the NTX700, NTX900, and NTX1200 is the quality and beauty of the wood. And of course the list price of $700, $900, and $1200 so they sell for $500, $700, and $1000. It is everything I was looking for when I investigated Kremona and Cordoba guitars that cost $2000-$4000! 14 fret, single cutaway, radiused fretboard, good sound acoustic and amped, onboard tuner... Only problem was the strings were set very, very narrow for the neck width of about 1-15/16"!! It was about 3/16 in from 1 and 6 string to edge of neck! I put a new nut on to take advantage of the neck width and love it even more. Based on the one I bought and the one in the store that I didn't buy only because it was solid black, they look, sound, and feel good to me!

PS: It's my second Yamaha. The first was a 125cc dirt bike, LOL! Had a lot of fun with that, too!!

I take your point about the nut Ron. I am heading to Dublin (Ireland) this weekend.
There are loads of musicshops there - I hope to find something.
