Curious as to this guitar.
Is there anyone that has purchased this one and also has the CG 6122-1959? Is it basically the same, playing?
I'm thinking of getting one. Beautiful color.

It is the same guitar. Only the color and the plate on the headstock are different.

One more slight difference, the stimulated f-holes are trimmed in white. I have one on order. I'm told the next batch is expected to arrive the first part of January 2012. I'm also told that Gretsch is planning on making a total of 70-72 of this HOF special edition.

Does anyone know what the asking price is for the Hall of Fame guitars?

The guitar also comes with both a fixed and a swivel Bigsby arm bracket.

As Chuck knows, I have one of these guitars. I got it thru Broadway Sound. This is the best playing Gretsch I have ever owned and I've had a lot of them over the years. I also have a 2004 NC which is also a super guitar. This new HOF CG had the best set-up out of the case that I've ever played . . . it played like Paul Yandell or Sonny Thomas had set it up! It tunes up great, all the way up the neck,,,,the bar bridge didn't have much slant on it so just looking at the guitar in the case, so I figured I'd have to work on the bridge but I didn't ,,,,it was perfect. Its almost like Gretsch spent a little extra time on this guitar, however, I couldn't get Joe Carudcci to tell me that this was true. I was telling Joe how nice the set-up was right from the factory. The string setup seemed like the other NCs, CGs,,,, 11 thru 49 or so. This is a SUPER NICE Gretsch, my favorite of all of them. List is about $3,995.00, and of course many deals can be arranged if you check around for a good price. Its a beauty and it plays as good as it looks. Oh, one other thing, it has those LARGE "butterbean keys" and they are much better than the "stair-step" Imperials.....these don't stick and pop, they are really smooth. The action on my HOF guitar is "low", just the way I like it, but no buzzes or rattles - its just a super guitar! (no, I'm not on Gretsch's payroll......lol)
