I know I would never pay that much for a guitar, because a could buy quite a few very nice guitars for that price. ( still couldn't afford that even) But, the guitar in question here is a very rare guitar, one that you can go years without seeing one for sale. One sold quite a few years ago for $8,600.00 if I remember right and the guy that bought it has since sold it for $15,000.00. I would guess this guitar on Ebay will sell, super tough to find at any price.

You're right Norm, us Americans aren't the only one's that make big bucks on stuff.

I think the one listed on Ebay right now is priced about right, even though most folks wouldn't spend that kind of money on a guitar.

I'd have Kirk Sands build Me a custom CEC to My specks before I'd pay that kind of money.

I have a Chet Atkins CE and had Kirk Sand build me a "custom" guitar. Yes, you will pay more for it but the quality and playability are incomparable. It has to be the best guitar I have ever owned.
