It is nigh impossible to build a true "clone" amp without having 1)accurate schematics/blueprints, and/or 2)an original amp to work from. Without an original amp to compare the schematics against, most any builder would be lost in creating an actual clone. The Invicta Cascade is only based on the design type of the Standel (Williamson circuit) because the builder (Owen Duffy - OC Duff pickups) didn't have an actual original 25L15 to copy. The auctions/ads describe the Cascade as an "idealized re-creation" of the 25L15, not an absolute clone. It uses 6L6 tubes instead of 807s, and is housed in a Fender Pro cabinet. I've never tried one but I suspect it sounds pretty good. However, I wouldn't consider it a 25L15 clone either.

I unfortunetly bought one of the invicta cascade amps and it was a horrible sounding amp and very very unreliable, and when i needed it fixed after i had it less than a month i was told to find a tech near me and have then look at it? He didnt even want to look at it at all,now i have some of the musicman rd 50's and its not even close to what sounds better. Paul Yendell uses one and i thikn that says a lot about the musismans amps. In fact hes the one that told me to get one if i can find one,and that the musicman rd50 amps are the best there is for live playing. They can hang with any amp at any price. Just trying top save some of the chetbooarders some money and dont make the mistake i did.

The Twin is sold for $1000. I still have the Sedona. My new amp should be ready in 10 days or so.

Thanks,
Richard

We are meeting tomorrow somewhere between Ardmore, OK and Topeka, KS. Hopefully about halfway. Bill, thanks so much for helping to coordinate this for me. This is a dream come true for me.

Thanks,

Richard, you won't regret it. I know he's my brother and it sounds like I'm bragging on him, but he's one of the most knowledgable electronics guys you'll ever meet, and honest to a fault. I am so proud of what he can do. If I wasn't struggling right now with some health issues of my own, I'd drive over and go with him to meet you. Maybe some other time. Let us all know how you like the amp! Bill

Richard,
I got your email about your amp being ready. I forgot my phone today and I just got home. I know things are going to be really fun at the Hudson house this weekend! I can't wait to hear your reports after you get to play it.
Thanks,
