Wow! I guess I'll have to look for something other than a Harmony/Baldwin for my first classical!

No dude...I payed $150 for a mint H174...............and $40 for another decent H174. They're out there.....but all this talk about them lately has got everybody on the hunt....drives the price up. You gotta find one and be hush hush about it till its yours.

I think you should also add an H173 to your list for looking. There are a lot more of these types of guitars than there are H174's. I got one for 60 dollars in excellent condition - slapped a prismatone on it and MAN it's fantastic. Sounds amazing. Just saying - don't limit your scope to just a H174.
