Robert,
Do you still have this guitar? I just bought one too!

Hey Chuck - did you manage to find a Baldwin 801CP with a Prismatone?

I spent a while looking for one a few years back, but prices went through the roof to a point that I simply couldn't justify, so I parked that idea.

I still have a lovely Harmony H173 with a Prismatone 2 (from Sam Kennedy) - to all intents and purposes the same guitar, just at a fraction of the cost.

Angus,
Yes, I bought the one that belonged to the late Bruce Osbon. Porter Wagoner gave it to Bruce. Bruce played it with Dolly Parton on several occasions. I bought it from the estate sale of Bruce Osbon. I was so happy to get it.

Hey Chuck - that's a guitar with quite a back story :D

Bruce Osbon had somehow passed me by, but there's no doubt what he and Porter are playing here, and that's some really good picking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVe7SoeB_8w

Is the guitar still in good playable condition and is the Prismatone still in working order?

I'm jealous

Hope you enjoy it.

Angus,
The Prismatone works great. The guitar does need some work. It's playable. I need to take it to get a couple of side cracks fixed. It may need a neck reset. I want it in top shape again.

When they're playing well, they're lovely guitars, so it's not hard to see why the likes of Jerry and Bruce gravitated towards them.

Look forward to hearing how you get on with yours.
