That's a little surprising. I heard that Kirk was scaling back on the number of guitars that he builds, and maybe that's a part of it. Or maybe the webpage is getting a makeover. Sorry, but I don't really know anything other than he was making less guitars now, and was semi-retired.

I contacted Kirk and got an update. He had some issues with scammers on his website, and he decided to take it down for the time being. He said that he doesn't really need it these days, but he plans to update and re-open it at some time in the future. He's currently very busy trying to catch up on backordered guitars, and then he plans to build a fewer number of guitars to his own specs and sell them that way. He also said that he didn't attend CAAS this year, because he had recently had knee surgery. I think he's a lot like some of us old thumbs and needing to slow down a bit. But he's hoping to be back for CAAS next year.

Anyway, that's the latest on Kirk Sand.
