Re: le petrie for jerry a chet tunes ?
Yes that's it exactly. Looks so much like my guitar I had to check my case to be sure it was still there!
As I said before I am really happy with it. I have a Gibson CE and I had been somewhat passively looking at low cost classical accoustic or classical electric guitars for a while. Last summer I had just heard about the La Patries and was considering maybe getting one and maybe adding a pickup when I came across this Alvarez. I had thought I didn't want a full 2" neck, but after playing the Alvarez in the music store I liked the sound so much that I became quite interested and Brett there at the store knows me and knows I take care of my equipment so he let me take it home and try it. (That's one advantage of living in or near a small town.) After I got it home and tried it through my accoustic amp I was really sold on the sound and playability regardless of the 2" neck. Actually, I get along just fine with the 2" fingerboard width and I like it now that I am used to it. My hands are big enough that I can still throw my thumb over the top of the neck if I need to once in awhile. You are right though I don't think they make this exact guitar any longer. They appear to have replaced it with an AC65CE whick looks to be very similar except for the appearance of the headstock.
