Mike,
The line up of jazz guitarists is impressive. I met Gene Bertoncini at an Asheville, NC concert in the company of my friend John Buscarino who makes Gene's Cabaret classical-jazz guitar. He is a nice man with an exceptional talent with a style his very own. It is remarkable he has a degree in architecture but chose a career of playing guitar music instead of architecture. I also have some of Gene's recordings. Between performances Gene played a song for me and demonstrated his guitar, then surprisingly he handed the guitar to me and said "here you play it!". I was reluctant, but I did not pass up the opportunity. I now have a Buscarino Grand Cabaret of my own which is a great guitar with unique tone and projection. I recorded a full CD using only the Cabaret.

I will be unable to attend the concert, but I wish you luck with getting the word out. I will pass the info and dates along to John Buscarino who is in constant touch with jazz guitar players.

Thanks,
Ronnie Evans
