I just wanted to let everyone know that Gene Slone, who wrote "Cascade", passed away Sunday morning. I think we hear that song around the Sheraton more than any other that Chet recorded.

Jim, I'm not sure that I'd agree with "Cascade" being played more than "I'll See You in My Dreams" at the convention because fewer people can play it....lol

That's true, Rande, but that one is a Merle Travis song. Chet did it, but it is always a Merle song. Get the top players together and you will hear "Cascade" at some point.
