Mickey Baker, whose piercing guitar riffs were featured on dozens of his own and hundreds of others' recordings and helped propel the evolution of rhythm and blues into rock ’n’ roll, died on Tuesday at his home in Montastruc-la-Conseillère, near Toulouse in southwestern France. He was 87.

Those of us of a certain age remember Mickey and Sylvia doing their song on TV "Love Is Strange" and many others.
"Love Is Strange" sold more than a million copies and reached No. 1 on Billboard’s rhythm-and-blues chart and No. 11 on the pop chart.

I really enjoyed the Mickey Baker books that I got when Mike Joyce did that series a few years back. Between Mike's materials and Mickey Baker's books I learned a whole lot of stuff that I'd never been exposed to before. RIP Mickey Baker.

I also got exposed to Mickey Baker through Mike Joyce Course.
I wound up buying one of Mickey's CD's "Wildest Guitar" I'm glad I did
