David J Hill RIP
Wanted to let the board know David James Hill (Mark Hills Dad) has passed, which occurred on October 17, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital .
Dave posted on the board from time to time, not that often, however typically when Dave spoke he had something worth listening to to say. Dave didn't do anything without going at it with passion, whether it was his exerciser, his music or his family.
Most Saturday afternoons at Dave's house were filled with family laughter music and in the middle of all the craziness was Dave, certainly a willing participant LOL!!
He loved his music mostly Merl and Chet, he passed that passion onto his Son Mark, I know Mark you have done him proud. When Dave talked about his family he would get a little extra sparkle in his eye, whether it was Mark, his brother Steve or his girls.
I was lucky enough to share many Saturday afternoon's with the the Hill family, LOL, I can tell you from experience that once you were there once to experience it you went back. There was lots to be learned from the experience, from how a loving family should function and come together on a regular basis, or play a lick properly, LOL!! Dave was never shy on sharing his opinion on your playing, LOL!!! Seems to have worked out for Mark ok.
In closing I would like to thank the Hill family for including me in their Saturday family gathers, and especially to Dave for always making me feel welcome also his one on one conversations and the wisdom he was willing to share with me, Dave I will remember!!
