The Chetboard

Hey Folks,
I talked to Paul Yandell (C.G.P.) this morning, and I told him that I would ask for people to be praying for him. I also asked if he would mind if I shared this with his Chetboard friends, and he said it would be okay. As most of you know, Paul has been having some health problems, enough that he was unable to be at CAAS this year. On Wednesday, he is scheduled to have surgery for a tumor on one of his lungs. So, please remember Paul and his family this week in your thoughts and prayers.

Most certainly praying for Paul, his doctors, and his family.

My understanding of cancer surgery on the lungs is that you don't just cut out the cancer ... you have to cut out one or more Sections of the affected lung(s). This of course reduces lung function, making it more difficult for the patient to breath. (The significance of this depends on how much the patient's lung function is already reduced.) So I am praying that Paul's lung function is not significantly reduced, and that they completely eliminate the cancer.

Paul, not sure you will read this, but if you do: know that we love you.

Paul is a good man and a great player. I'll keep you in my thoughts.
