Yep...arpeggio 'sweep' picking is hard enough, let alone with a thumbpick! I've been teaching & playing for more than 30 years & spent many hours working through the whole 'sweep-picking' lexicon by Frank Gambale among others...also known as 'economy-picking', referring to the minimal right hand activity in execution...
