I want to say how mighty nice it was for y'all who tried to help me in my quest to find a good Del Vecchio!
I want to record several tunes on my new CD especially that I think would be great for that guitar like "les bicyclettes de belsize" or "I could fall in love" by the late Selena (my personal favorite) terrible tragedy!

I wish Chet would have recorded them w/ that special feel like he gave w/ "Moon of Manakoora" or "How's the world treating you" or "The Last letter" amazing for 1965 or any year even now!

The one thing that I've learned in how to play the guitar is "NEVER GIVE UP" and one thing I wanted to add is that exquisite and tasteful touch of guitar sounds in my potpourri of songs for my newest CD. I found out that Chet gave that guitar from that period to Earl Klugh. I'm sure if that's true...? Well, he won't sell it if is true..so......

I will do the next best thing, and believe me folks there is something that is that close,, at least as close as I've ever heard! Its my good friend "STEVE LEDFORD" from "FUNKY JUNK MUSIC" who gave me my initial start w/ the fingerstyle world on the Internet years ago. Steve has done so much to help and introduce people w/ their CD's to all of us at one time w/ his website and he really was one of the best fingerstyle artist promoter around! He bought a Del Vecchio from this place

When I heard it I said do you want to sell it I'll buy right now even over the phone name your price I knew immediately! I never heard a guitar that was as close as Steve's! He will never sell it, so if Muhammad won't come to the mountain,well you know the rest.

I am literally going to bring a recording studio to Georgia and to his house, and use that guitar which he says SURE "Come on down Son" and give me a few lessons too and can I take some pictures of David Paul in my house. This new Cd of mine will be reviewed by Guitar Player Magazine so I'm really trying to play in tune on this one folks, and especially for Yamaha. It looks like on his trip to Georgia, DP is heading a little further south to the sunny state of Florida to visit his old friend. I have a venue lined up where we might be playing. It will be fun to play with him again after 25 years. Stan.

I will be stopping to visit and record a couple of tunes at my good friends house "Steve Ledford" from Funky Junk Music and meeting another well establish and very predominant business man also who is one of the leading people in his area "Wes Southerland" will be coming by as well . Both men are a cut above. Steve is an expert in Chet Atkins music especially w/ Del Vecchio's. He is the proud owner of one of the very best Del Vecchio's ever in sound that I've ever heard! The best around,, and I don't care who you go to or what you play..Steve's Del Vecchio is as good as Chet's first one and will a great honor for me to play it and record w/ it (Steve's permission of course and it has been granted). Because of this extreme situation of recording like this on the road it will be filmed for 2 guitar magazines and there will be a meet and greet at one of the nicer restaurants in the area by Steve's area in McDonough GA. You be able stop in and say hello and ask some questions and I will sign my new Cd and pick one for you. I believe we will have people coming from a couple hundred miles away to Georgia to meet. It would an honor to see and meet all of you who can come. Date in October 2012 to be announced. I will be looking forward to also meeting Wes Southerland a very successful entrepreneur in his area and great collector of all fingerstlye guitar music and memorability! 2 of the finest people in Georgia!! Then after that I will be on my way south to my dear old friend Stan Surman in Deltona Fl. Stan is a great fingerstyle guitarist and painter very gifted artist! Stan was also my guitar accompanist in several concerts many yrs ago. One time we played and nobody came so we did our show and played for the trees. I haven't seem Stan in 25 yrs now, but still a great friend even today he found a guitar for me when he found out that I was also looking for classic guitar as well. Folks.. Stan will be arranging for me to play at a coffee house in Deltona Fl. Yes folks a coffee house! I will very proud to do that for my dear friend Stan who has gone out of his way for me so many times for me w/ guitars and shows etc. We also will be doing our very famous arrangement of Blue Steel blues and Somebody Knockin ( Stan plays Lenny's part flawlessly) and I will be signing for my new Cd and meeting all there as well.
