You can ban users, IP's ... to no avail to the smart bots.
the Chet Board confirmation question can be answered through google...therefore registration of bots is possible. I run a forum and we had to come up with a question that could not be answered through google, because of recent spam, like what we have seen here ... like what are the 5th, 6th, and 7th letters, inclusive of spaces, in the title of this forum? The odds of getting those three letters in a row by a bot are remote...at least for now.
Hats off to our Admin here....It is a continual battle and a pain in the ass for an administrator to stay on top of spam in todays world. Not enough appreciation is shown.
