Hey Paul,
What was the years you were with the Louvin Brothers? What was your first and last recorded songs with them?
I have the Louvin Brothers Box set and would like to listen to your work more closely..... Thanks and I hope all is well on your end.

Hi Wes-

I'll let Paul answer, but if you have the Close Harmony box set, you'll find detailed info about the recordings and sessions in the enclosed book.

Paul's playing with the Louvins was always tasteful and in support of the song, and yet he really stepped out when it was time.

Wes-

Paul asked me to reply for him. He joined the Louvin Brothers in March 1955.

His first session with the Louvins was October 29, 1955. They recorded four sides, including "I Don't Believe You've Met My Baby." The first album session he worked on was for "Tragic Songs of Life" in the Spring of 1956.

Paul's last session with the Louvins before he went into the Army was on August 10, 1958, for the "Satan Is Real" LP. They recorded three tunes, including "There's A Higher Power."

This is a good offer. "Tragic Songs of Life/Satan is real". Two classic albums on CD for the price of one.
