He's using what appears to be a '58 Gent and Howard Roberts (minus shades) is playing rhythym in the back. This picture has been cropped a litte because I've seen others that show a bunch of guys, violins and music stands sround Chet. It looks like a warm day because everyone except Chet is wearing short sleeved shirts.

He had his guitar running on a separate track so he could redo his part at home but you knew that...
