The Chetboard

A short time ago, I bought this mp3-files on Amazon. Really great remastering and some of Chet's best playing on record IMO!

My question is: When was it recorded? I know that the release of the LP was in 1980 and that the tunes are recorded in Nashville and Paris. But what's the year of the recoridng?

Does anybody know where I can find the live-release "And Then Came Chet" ??

Thanks a lot! Which where the tunes from Paris?? Just the medley with Marcel Dadi?

Does anybody know if there where overdubs done for the release??

Don't know if there were overdubs. I doubt it...

On the album 'A Man and His Guitar' there are also various live tracks from the 'And Then Came...Chet Atkins' LP. It's a German RCA issue. Seeing that you are from Germany, there is a chance you will find one in a record store.

I found the record on Amazon as mp3! It has great sound quality.

Here in germany, it's not easy to find Chet records. Most of his recordings I get from Amazon via import sellers. You just get Best Of records in stores around here! So I had to post here for the live recording. I prefer his live stuff!

Youtube is a goldmine for live videos, where I myself posted some rare videos from chet, to share it with all fans!
