The Chetboard

I'm getting packed, and heading to Nashville tomorrow. Who else is going? Maybe we can organize a Chetboard breakfast or happy hour one day.

Yep, I'll be at the workshop. One of my favorite parts of the CAAS week!

I'll be flying out on Wednesday and will be around by the middle of the afternoon. I waited a little late to pull the trigger on going this year. The Sheraton and Alexis were both booked up, but I was able to get a real good deal through Expedia for a rent car and a room at Super 8 which is 1.6 miles away.

Anyway, I'm up for meeting for breakfast, etc.

I hope to arrive around noon on Wednesday.

My son Ben just arrived in Nolensville via car; my son Jameson will fly in from San Diego tomorrow. They are visiting with some great friends and picking some this weekend. They will be at the Franklin show on Tuesday and at CAAS all week. I am flying in 4:30pm next Saturday to help the boys drive back home to San Diego, so I will only catch the Saturday night show.

I'll be in Nashville while the convention takes place and will attend if they'll let me. I've been through some stuff the past year and a half or so and in the process have fallen behind on my membership dues. I'm sure they'll let me bring them up to date during registration provided I'm still listed as a member. I'm gonna go to the registration desk and hope for the best on Wed. or whenever I arrive. ( I'm driving a truck for a living these days and they're usually a day late getting me home when I request home time.) Not sure just when I'll get there or how long I'll get to stay but I definitely plan to be there.

BillB, thanks for the heads up on the Alexis Inn being full. That's where I was planning to stay. I'm sure I'll be able to find something reasonably priced in the vicinity. ( Not gonna splurge on a luxury suite when all we need is a place to crash and get just enough sleep to get us through the next day!)

A Chetboard breakfast sounds good but I'm not sure it would work for me. I just don't stay up late enough to do breakfast anymore. Seriously, a Chetboard gathering of some kind may be a good idea. Wish I could be at the John Knowles workshop!
