I love stuff like this. It's fascinating to think about. It's neat to let your mind travel down the imaginary halls of time. I often muse over that when Chet got his first guitar, my dad was a two year old, in diapers.

Doug, the cross-referencing of dates is "my thing"! My mother just passed away on Jerry Reed's 82nd birthday.

I apologize! I had no idea.

I recall when I lost my dad and my wife in the same year. It is the hardest thing a human being can endure.

Doug, you did nothing wrong. No need to apologize.

Rande,
Sorry your Mom just passed away. Were you both close?

Steve, I was her first born and her only son. I was followed by 3 younger sisters and have lost 2 of those. My father died 31 years ago, leaving my mother as a widow and she has since lost 2 of her 4 children. She was an only child so there was nobody else to watch out for her except me. My only remaining sister lives in Tennessee, so my mom depended heavily upon me. It was difficult to manage her issues and work full time besides. I wish that the burden could have been shared and I feel that she never got enough attention. Yes, I would say that we were close but it wasn't a total shock. Now I'm still dealing with all of her final details.
