Jingle Bell Rock

I will be going to where my mother lives in an assisted living home for a Christmas luncheon. Like last year I will play guitar and lead in singing some carols and xmas songs. One of the songs is "Jingle Bell Rock". I had wanted this time to do the guitar intro that someone played for Tommy Helms in 1957 but it is not as easy or simple for me as I thought. Studio guitarists. They are among the best at adding something like the intro I've mentioned to really help a song along. So I will have to settle for a single note version of the double stop run as I did last year. Oh well, I tried for weeks but no go. I think they will still enjoy singing along with me anyway.

I am positive your mom will love ALL of your efforts.

I played with a group that visited nursing homes and we sang and picked old gospel standards.

They loved it. They ate it up.

It did indeed go over well. I did do Jingle Bell Rock, tried the intro blew it but proceeded on with it and it was OK. We sang a mix of carols and xmas songs.
