Classical guitar on Chet Atkins Picks on the Hits?

Postby Dan Smith » Sat Oct 16, 2010 5:19 pm

I'm listening to the CD Chet Atkins Picks on the Hits. Does anyone know what classical guitar Chet used on this CD? I sure like the way Chet played The Masterpiece, Song Sung Blue, and An Old Fashioned Love Song and the sound of his guitar on these tunes.

Thanks,
Dan

Well this isn't a reply - but I certainly agree that it's a fabulous album- Songs Sung Blue is so good it brought tears to my eyes. It's incredibly tender, passionate playing. Is that a Hascal Haile Guitar? Somebody must know. - Simon

Hascal Haile told me that was the first LP Chet used his guitar on.
