Acoustic Exciter

Hi. After reading rave reviews on the board, I decided to get the green box Acoustic Exciter by Aphex. I am using a Godin Multiac nylon, and pretty much playing clean through my computer/garageband. I think I like it but am not sure about adjustment, (and I know it is a personal thing).
And I watched the Thom Bresh video naturally. I am really liking what I am getting out of the bass but am confused about the treble, what it is even supposed to be doing. Any comments or hints as to adjustment etc, I am relatively new to this style, but am playing some of the Chet Atkins standards like Happy Again, Windy and Warm, and Maybelle. Thanks for any comments.
